Redditch Special Olympics - Abbey Stadium

10 March 2018

Volunteers requested to help out at the Redditch Special Olympics?

For the last 3 years Redditch Swimming Club has assisted Special Olympics in hosting a gala at Abbey Stadium. The event is run for people aged 8 and over who live with an intellectual disability.

This year's event in planned for Saturday 10th March between 12.30 and 8 p.m.

We help with running the automatic timing system, judging, time keeping etc. You don't need to be qualified in any role to help as the 'normal' rules of swimming do not apply.

Helping is a most rewarding experience as you would be assisting people with learning disabilities to enjoy a fantastic sporting experience.

Volunteers may come from parents or the experienced swimmers of the club (as long as you can operate a stop watch there can be a role for you.) Why not make helping at the Special Olympics a shared family experience?

If you want to volunteer please contact Paul at workforce@redditchswim.org.uk
