Unsupported Open Meets

In discussion with Chris and Adrian last week,  one subject that came up  was the attendance of swimmers at unsupported open meets. It was thought that swimmers and parents, whilst not necessarily being dissuaded from entering such meets,  should discuss the option with Chris before entering, to help determine if the meet is suitable for the swimmer, and fits in with any plans Chris may have for that swimmer's development.

Generally, swimmers are encouraged to prioritise our targeted meets, which have been carefully selected to fit into the club's annual training and competition plan and where swimmers can experience an appropriate level of competition, with support from their coaches and fellow swimmers.

Can I ask please that if you are attracted to an unsupported meet you mention it to Chris please.
