As a number of you will be aware, we held a meeting for the RSC coaches on Tuesday night at Kingsley Sport Centre. Firstly can I apologise for any confusion which arose as a result of this meeting as I know a number of parents were planning to attend not realising that it was for the coaching team.
The purpose of the meeting was to talk through the proposed new RSC schedule for when Kingsley closes. As this isn’t 100% confirmed it is too early to share all the information with all parents but I can give you an indication of what is likely to happen. There are a lot of things up in the air at the moment and as a committee we are working hard to ensure that we have enough sessions come October and that they are all covered with adequate qualified coaches. So whilst I am happy to answer any questions that you may have, it is highly likely that I will not yet know the answer.
Abbey Stadium have been great in their support of Redditch Swimming Club moving forward and we are hoping to have some time for our Learn to Swim programme at Abbey Stadium on a Monday and Thursday evening before our usual sessions. The other time available to us is on a Sunday afternoon which will include both Learn to Swim and Development Bronze and Silver session.
Once we have a clear and 100% confirmed schedule we will communicate this to you but rest assured we are doing all that we can to ensure your children’s swimming can continue with RSC.
Many thanks for your patience.
Malcolm Ross, RSC Chair
